The Climate Crisis and the Sensuous – Where do we go from here?

Sisters Hope has been invited to present at this year edition of The Danish Science Festival.

At the talk it is possible to meet climate psychologist Solveig Roepstorff and artistic director of the performance group Sisters Hope, Gry Worre Hallberg, for a conversation about the climate and how we can deal with our being in the world in the light of the crisis that are currently unfolding.

In the spring, Solveig Roestorff published the book ‘Climate Psychology – Why we keep the climate crisis at bay and the connectedness that awaits when we start acting’. Here she describes the reactions that can come to the climate crisis, such as paralysis of action, and offers suggestions on how to move on from there.

Gry Worre Hallberg has written the artistic research PhD, ‘Sensuous Society’, at the University of Copenhagen. Here she explores, among other things through her artistic practice at Sisters Hope, and how the sensuous potentially can support a transition to a more sustainable future.

The conversation is moderated by cand. mag. in Modern Culture, Sofie Mønster.
